Oakey State School offers Cooperative Religious Instruction.
Participating faith groups: Anglican, Catholic, Uniting, Lutheran, Grace Community, Oakey Community Bible Fellowship, Heaven Song, Australian Evangelical Lutheran
Authorised program: Connect, Beginning with God, Big Questions
Aims and goals: To inform students about the basic beliefs of the Christian faith.
Lesson structure: Students participate in 30 minute lessons each week. RI instructors deliver instruction using high quality resource materials that promote the spiritual development and wellbeing of young people.

Parents of students participating in these programs will be advised if a faith group requires funds to cover the expense of materials used in RI.
